4. WhatsApp Business Integration
Wali uses the WhatsApp Business Platform by Meta Platforms, Inc. to send operational notifications to the end clients of professionals using our platform.
Access model (On Behalf Of – OBO): Wali acts as an Independent Tech Provider (ITP) and accesses commercial assets — including the WABA ID (WhatsApp Business Account ID) and Phone Number ID — under the "On Behalf Of" model. This means Wali manages and operates the WhatsApp channel on behalf of the professional, without using it for any purposes beyond the contracted service.
Data justification: End-client phone numbers are collected and used exclusively to send Utility messages, which include:
- Appointment confirmations
- Appointment reminders
- Appointment cancellation notices
These messages are requested directly by the professional who subscribes to the service and are strictly limited to the professional-client relationship.
Consent (Opt-in): Professionals using Wali are solely responsible for obtaining prior and explicit consent (opt-in) from their clients to receive WhatsApp messages, in accordance with WhatsApp Business Policies and applicable local legislation. Wali does not send messages to phone numbers that have not given consent to the professional.
Embedded Signup: During the account registration or linking process in Wali, the professional's commercial account data (including WABA information and phone number) is securely shared with Meta Platforms, Inc. through the Embedded Signup flow, for the sole purpose of linking that number to the Wali platform and enabling notification delivery.
5. Use of Information Promoted by Professionals
We use information provided and promoted by professionals who use our platform to notify their clients about appointments and other related matters. Wali is not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of data provided by professionals.
6. Sharing Information
We do not share your personal information with third parties, except in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We may share your information with service providers who help us operate our platform and provide our services.
- Legal Compliance: We may share your information to comply with applicable laws, respond to legal requests, and protect our rights and property.
- With Your Consent: We may share your information with third parties when you have given us your consent to do so.
